Acoustic Signature

The Acoustic Signature MCX2 is a modern moving-coil cartridge, manufactured according to the latest technologies – the optimal partner for our NEO tonearm series. A ‘nude’ elliptical stylus assuring precise tracking results, high-purity silver coils and a CNC-milled and resonance-optimized chassis developed according to the finite element design principle form the basis for a souvereign sounding cartridge.

Test reports

Test report of the Tonado NEO, TA-500 NEO and MCX2 in Fidelity 11/2021

“it was to the credit of the MCX2 and the company’s smallest tonearm, the TA‑500 NEO, that the musical sequences were as clear as glass”

Maximus NEO test report in Stereo 07/2021

“The MCX2 has a slight frequency drop towards the higher registers. This only resulted in a minimally sonorous, velvety timbre, without sacrificing resolution or transparency. But think of this in the context of the energetically dense and robust playback of the turntable, with its precisely staggered spatial representation oriented towards the front edge of the stage. The MC pickup then probably has exactly the right tuning, as it counteracts overpresence and foregrounding.”

test report MCX2 in hifi & records

“The TA5000 and MCX2 combination proves to be a very interesting tandem with great potential, not only because of its price-performance ratio”

Maximus SE Test in Image Hifi 02/2020

“…The MCX2 somehow changes … everything. As if the musicians had performed through an only half opened stage curtain before. Now the curtain has fallen completely and the view is wide open and deep. Especially the lower tones … grew in substance and richness.”
